VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with a successful organisation in Greater Belfast in their recruitment of a Financial Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business who are part of an ambitious group, with sustained growth through valuing client relationships through a focus on high levels of customer service.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing the finance function of the business, including preparation of monthly management accounts, cashflow & forecasts, and working closely with General Manager on sales forecasts. The Financial Accountant will be a highly motivated individual with an ability to work on own initiative, alongside having previous experience of Sage accounting software.

This is an initial interim contract with the possibility to secure a permanent contract for the successful candidate.

About you

• Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience (must be able to demonstrate relevant experience within the desired areas)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• Sage experience (desirable)

• Production of monthly management accounting information
• Preparation and posting of monthly journals
• Reconciliation of bank
• Processing supplier payments
• Cash management
• General accounts administration
