VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a fast growing distribution business based in Belfast in their recruitment of a Financial Accountant on a temporary to permanent contract. The company are going through a period of significant transition and require the support of a Financial Accountant. This is an opportunity for a recently Qualified Accountant with month end close experience, to join a business who are extremely busy and going from strength to strength.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will act as number 2 within finance and will be responsible for the preparation of monthly & annual accounts, financial management, project accounting and application of financial controls.

November/December start date available

About you

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)
  • Experience of financial reporting in a complex business
  • Knowledge of international reporting standards
  • Strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

What you'll do

  • Preparation of monthly and annual accounts, accruals & prepayments, journal entries & month end reconciliations
  • Application of financial controls, adherence to internal control procedures
  • Reconciliation of service charges and VAT adjustments
  • Provision of professional financial advice and information
