CLIENT;


Our global construction company is looking to employ a Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a fantastic all round role and would be an ideal first step into Industry



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for month and year end reporting for assigned company and assistance with other month and year end reporting as directed
  • Control Account reconciliation responsibility
  • Responsible for the processing of company financial transactions
  • Assisting with External Audit
  • Assisting with VAT/Tax/Customs and related returns as required Main accountabilities and responsibilities (8-14 max)
  • Preparation of management accounts for review with senior management.
  • Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis for review by the Finance Manager
  • Ensure accuracy, usefulness and understanding of all KPIs
  • Identification of potential cost reductions in assigned company
  • Provide visibility to Finance and Operational managers of costs and variances in advance of monthly management meeting and clarify any variances for managers to explain at this meeting.
  • Assist department managers in preparation for Budget and Forecast deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation/reviewing of the entities VAT returns

REQUIREMENTS;

  • Preferably Qualified accountant, but would consider strong QBE candidate
  • Significant financial accounting experience to trial balance and management accounts level
  • Significant Excel experience ( ability to pivot/lookup )
  • Understanding of systems
  • Understanding of processes / accounting principles
  • Treasury and cashflow management experience desirable
