Due to recent success of securing a large new client, they are looking for an individual to perform a range of tasks to assist with the day to day operation of the finance team.

This is an urgent appointment for the organisation and will offer the opportunity for an immediate start.

About you

If you are an experienced Purchase Ledger and are available to join a fast paced organisation to assist during a busy period the following would be suitable qualities:

  • Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What you'll do

As a Finance Officer you will:

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and general ledger activities.
  • Perform financial analysis and reporting, preparing accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against targets and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct regular financial audits, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
  • Maintain and update financial databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in financial management.
