Finance Manager (City Centre)

Job Description

Are you a qualified accountant with strong financial reporting and project experience? This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded Accountant to join a fast growing, start up business based in Belfast City Centre. The role will be to support a busy finance function through a period of transition, with involvement in high-level reporting, forecasting, and project work.

About the role

This interim opportunity offers the chance to step into a senior role supporting a complex set of operations. You'll be working closely with the wider finance team to support group reporting, project delivery, and financial planning. The role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to drive process improvements. This is a tight knit team and a positive working environment so the organisation requires someone who is keen to make a positive impact.

This is an initial 9-12 month contract that is to cover a period of maternity elsewhere in the team, but due to the growing nature of the organisation, the intension is to hopefully make someone permanent at the end of that contract.

About you

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 3+ years PQE
  • Strong background in financial reporting and audit support
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Able to engage senior stakeholders and manage change effectively
  • Experience with SAP and in complex or regulated industries (desirable)

What you'll do

  • Manage handover and transition of core finance duties
  • Deliver monthly group reporting and assist with external audit queries
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and working capital analysis
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial submissions and KPI tracking
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to ongoing efficiency projects
