Financial Controller - Temporary to Permanent

My Client

VANRATH are exclusively recruiting for a Financial Controller for a market-leading organisation on temporary-to-permanent basis. Our client are a target employer and offer the flexibility to work from home along with a market-leading remuneration package. The role requires a relatively quick turnaround will be for a minimum of 6 months with a view to permanent.

The Role

Reporting to the Group FD, the responsibilities will be as follows:

• Oversee the day to day running of a small team (6) accounting professionals with shared responsibility for procurement and admin staff
• Review of projections, budgets vs actual, cashflows, management accounts and statutory returns
• Systems enhancement and ensure tight procedures are in place and deadlines are met on monthly reporting cycles
• ensure the company adheres to financial policies, procedures and legislation in line with UK GAAP.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified accountant or with strong experience in managing a team
• Strong IT skills including use of Microsoft Office and ERP packages (to include strong Excel skills).
• Keen eye for detail and well-rounded analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
