Finance Manager


VANRATH is delighted to be assisting a well-known Belfast based charity organisation, who are looking to recruit a Finance Manager to their smaller Finance function. This is a 6 month contract role with a view to being made permanent, and requires an immediately available candidate to facilitate a handover.

The Role

  • A minimum of 3 years' recent relevant experience in an accounting/finance environment.
  • Payroll - Sage Payroll Experience - Payroll, PAYE, HRMC
  • Responsible for daily bank administration including bank reconciliations, weekly and monthly payment processing.
  • Posting accruals
  • Sign off on bank reconciliations
  • You will assist in preparation of year-end financial statements taking the accounts to trial balance stage to then liaise with the Company External Accountant.
  • Preparation of financial budgets and forecasts.
  • Demonstrable practical experience in the preparation of financial accounts, reports and returns.
  • Experience of dealing with internal and external auditors.
  • Ability to work independently without support from wider finance team or admin support
  • Good organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Strong and effective communication skills
