The Finance Business Partner will act as a trusted adviser to senior managers across designated Directorates, ensuring strong financial governance, strategic planning, meaningful financial analysis, and continuous improvement in service delivery. You will play a key role in developing a modern, proactive and collaborative finance function.

About you

You will be a fully qualified Accountant, with full current membership of one of the following bodies:

  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  • Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA)
  • Chartered Accountants Ireland
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland
  • Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland

And:

  • Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience providing management accounting, financial analysis or business partnering support at senior level.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and present financial information clearly
  • Experience influencing and challenging senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial systems awareness
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines
  • A strong focus on value-for-money and continuous improvement
  • A valid driving licence (or access to suitable transport)

What you'll do

  • Provide a comprehensive financial management and business partnering service to designated Directorates
  • Deliver monthly reporting, variance analysis, forecasting and scenario planning
  • Support senior leaders by providing insightful, data-driven financial advice and challenge
  • Lead and support the budget planning and monitoring process
  • Ensure financial governance, accountability and value-for-money
  • Work closely with the Strategic Financial Management Team to support organisational priorities
  • Support the development of business cases, financial planning and long-term resource strategies
  • Contribute to the ongoing modernisation and continuous improvement of the finance function
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation to promote financial awareness and capability
