Our client is a well-established and impactful charity based in Belfast, dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities. As they continue to grow and evolve, they are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to cover a period of maternity and provide strategic financial insight and support across the organisation.
We are working with our client to identify a proactive and commercially astute Finance Business Partner. This is a pivotal role that bridges finance and operations, providing financial leadership to support the delivery of the charity's strategic objectives. You will work closely with senior managers, offering expert financial advice, driving efficiency, and helping to maximise the impact of charitable funds.
Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership and operational teams, supporting decision-making with robust financial analysis and forecasting.
Develop and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes aligned with the charity's goals.
Produce insightful management reports, highlighting financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Monitor funding utilisation and compliance with grant conditions and financial regulations.
Lead financial modelling and scenario planning to support new initiatives and organisational change.
Support the development and implementation of financial policies, controls, and best practices.
Liaise with external auditors, funders, and regulatory bodies as required.
Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and reporting.
Provide training and financial guidance to non-financial managers to build financial awareness across the organisation.
Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner or senior management accountant, ideally within the charity or third sector.
Strong understanding of charity finance, including fund accounting, restricted/unrestricted funds, and grant management.
