VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a successful business who operate across the UK & ROI, in their recruitment of a Finance Business Partner. The organisation has went through a period of change, and in order to take the business to the next step, they are looking for a talented, commercially minded finance professional to join their team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Business Partner will review large data sets, while making commercial recommendations to senior managers, of how to help the business move forward. The Finance Business Partner will have experience of working with large finance teams, along with having the ability to constructively challenge financial figures and results, while making robust recommendations for improvement.

This is an opportunity to join a newly created team within the business and will provide the chance to work with non-Finance staff across the business. Initially, this is set as an interim contract however due to the business plans, this role has strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate. To be considered for this role, it would be an advantage to have proven experience in a similar role, ideally with strong financial analysis skills, including high level Excel skills.

With this being the first hire within a new team, the role has unrestricted potential for development!

About you

  • Qualified Accountant or QBE (with extensive commercial experience)
  • Strong IT skills, including Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Available at short notice

What you'll do

  • Analyse large data sets, reviewing and recommending process improvements
  • Prepare balance sheet recs, budgets/forecasts
  • Develop robust recommendations, presenting to senior managers
  • Variance analysis, providing insight to management team
  • Project accounting, budget monitoring
  • Business partner with operational team, advising of best practice
