A well-respected Public Sector client based in Belfast are recruiting for a Finance Assistant. This would be ideal for someone with a strong management and reporting background.

VANRATH are currently working with a local Public Sector organisation based in Belfast who are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the provision of a financial and systems service to ensure the business needs are met.

The Ideal Person

If you have at least 1+ years' experience working in a Finance role and are available at short notice:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience supervising staff
  • Experience of using a computerised accounting system
  • 5 GCSE's (Grade C or above) to include Maths and English


As a Finance Assistant you will:

  • Supervising staff
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Preparing supplier payments
  • Petty cash management
  • Income management
  • Managing and reviewing relevant quotations/tenders
