A leading charitable organisation is currently recruiting a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an employer with an excellent reputation in the local market and who provide an essential service throughout Northern Ireland.
The post-holder will be responsible for day-to-day financial administration across all organisation activity and projects. Key responsibilities are listed below.
Responsibilities
Assist the Finance Manager with the following:
- The maintenance and development of the accounting systems, both manual and computerised as required;
- The maintenance and development of the Purchase, Sales and Nominal Ledgers as required;
- The timely completion of all month end financial procedures including reconciliations, production of financial reports / information and assist with credit control as required;
- The timely collation and provision of financial information in preparation for the annual audit and year end accounts production;
- Assist the Finance Manager with collating, evaluating and reporting on departmental accounts as required.
- Monitoring and processing of purchase transactions
- Purchase ledger duties
The Ideal Person
- Previous experience in a similar finance role.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
