Client

A leading charitable organisation is currently recruiting a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an employer with an excellent reputation in the local market and who provide an essential service throughout Northern Ireland.

The post-holder will be responsible for day-to-day financial administration across all organisation activity and projects. Key responsibilities are listed below.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Finance Manager with the following:

    1. The maintenance and development of the accounting systems, both manual and computerised as required;
    2. The maintenance and development of the Purchase, Sales and Nominal Ledgers as required;
    3. The timely completion of all month end financial procedures including reconciliations, production of financial reports / information and assist with credit control as required;
    4. The timely collation and provision of financial information in preparation for the annual audit and year end accounts production;
    5. Assist the Finance Manager with collating, evaluating and reporting on departmental accounts as required.
    6. Monitoring and processing of purchase transactions
    7. Purchase ledger duties

The Ideal Person

  • Previous experience in a similar finance role.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
