VANRATH are delighted to be working with a leading FMCG business based in Belfast who require a Finance Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business who are established within their market and who are renowned for offering opportunities for internal progression.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for working within the month end processes, assisting the management accountants with the prep for monthly accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are keen to progress into an Assistant Accountant role as you will get a high level of month end exposure from day 1.

The Ideal Person

If you've 2+ years' experience working in an Finance role:

• Desire to progress
• Bank reconciliations
• Experience of using a computerised accounting system
• Strong team player
• Available at short notice

Responsibilities

As a Finance Assistant you will:

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
• Debit and credit entries
• Accrual and prepayments
• Journal postings
