VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a leading public sector employer in Belfast who are currently recruiting a Finance Manager to join their team for an initial period of 6 months. If you are interested in joining an organisation who provide an essential service to the local communities, this could be the ideal role for you!

The Finance manager will support the wider management team, along with managing and overseeing the accounting & finance systems including managing the organisations finances. To be considered for this role, it is an advantage to have previous experience of working in a public sector setting, ideally with procurement & governance experience.

This is an initial contract opportunity and would provide the opportunity for an immediate start, along with the chance of securing a longer term contract.

About you

• Qualified Accountant (Qualified by Experience will also be considered)
• Public sector experience (desirable)
• Proven ability to influence, interact and consult with senior leaders
• Experience of managing a team
• Strong IT skills including MS Excel

What you'll do

• Preparation of financial reports to support budget management
• Manage and oversee the asset register
• Develop & implement the procurement policy
• Identify training and personal development needs of team members
• Review and update where necessary NIPSO's financial policies, procedures and controls
