Field Support - Food to Go

Job Description

VANRATH have partnered with one of the Ireland's leading retail partners, servicing over 1000 stores, warehouses and offices.

The client is seeking to add a Food-to-Go Field Support member to the team (field-based role) - Reporting to the Food to Go Specialist, this is a field-based support role focusing on supporting our retailers in delivering their Food to Go offer throughout the company estates. The role is an operational role with the key focus being to train & support in this area.

This is a initially a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Salary

£26,000 - £27,000 + Company Car + 5% Bonus + £6 per day lunch allowance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Continual review & assessment of sales opportunities within Food to Go departments across existing company stores
  • Training and supporting existing retailers within company stores - Across In-store Bakery, Food to go & our ice cream range
  • Support retail partners in the implementation of Food to Go initiatives to drive sales and profitability
  • Monitor in-store standards in relation to Food to Go categories and, if required, generate improvement plans in conjunction with wider sales team
  • Analyse and troubleshoot under-performing stores and identify training needs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Full driving licence (ESSENTIAL)
  • Relevant experience gained within a retail / food outlet (in-store bakery, hot food, deli serve over) - to include responsibility for store standards and sales growth
  • Previous experience of training others
  • Up-to-date knowledge of key trends within the Food to Go sector
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship management skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Flexible approach
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate
  • Knowledge & delivery of HACCP
  • Understanding of current allergen legislation & requirements

Desired

  • Previously worked within an FMCG, Retail or Food-service environment.
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate
