Field Service Engineer
Salary £35,000 - £40,000 (Experience Dependant)

We are seeking a skilled and committed Service Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will service, inspect, and repair a range of heavy equipment at customer sites. You will work independently, focusing on problem-solving, safety adherence, and precision. Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines are crucial. The position requires travel across multiple locations, covering a significant area of the country.

Responsibilities:

• Select appropriate repair techniques, equipment, and materials while following safety protocols.
• Obtain customer approval upon completion of work.
• Perform maintenance and repairs as per manufacturer's instructions.
• Be available for additional hours, including out-of-hours and unsociable hours if needed.
• Travel and work at customer locations with or without workshop facilities.

Skills Required:

• Flexible, deadline-driven, and able to work under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of road traffic laws.
• Ability to build strong relationships and manage workload independently.
• Problem-solving and self-motivation.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Familiarity with diagnostic systems and experience in fault diagnosis.
• Experience with heavy goods/specialist vehicles.
• City & Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanical and Electronic Systems or equivalent.
• Valid driving license.
