VANRATH is delighted to have partnered with a leading concrete manufacturer to recruit a Field Sales Representative for a territory in NI to join their talented team.


Salary/ Benefits
In order to attract the very best talent on the market a generous remuneration package is on offer for this position of £30,000 - £35,000 plus commission. In addition to this, the position comes with a range of fantastic benefits, company car or allowance provided. This role is primarily field based with admin done at home or in office.


The Ideal Person

  • Previous field based sales experience within a construction environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving / exceeding targets
  • You come from a target driven environment with a 'get up and go' attitude, and desire to succeed alongside an acute business acumen


Responsibilities

  • Make a major contribution to the ongoing planning and development of the Company's sales, marketing and business development strategies in Northern Ireland.
  • Identify new business opportunities, coordinate and follow up on existing leads, and generate new leads in an effective and structured manner.
  • Develop effective customer relationships and manage the complete sales cycle through finalising the sale.
  • Develop, update and maintain a database of existing and potential customers by developing and implementing a simple "Customer Relationship Management" system.
  • Contribute to new product/service development, promotion/distribution, customer care and the Company's approach to quality through the presentation of customer feedback and market research.
  • Participate in public relations and promotional activity undertaken by the Company in conducting business with its customers, including exhibitions where necessary, building brand awareness and developing Unique Selling Points.
  • Demonstrate the technical ability of the Company's products to potential customers.
  • Detail pricing and delivery information with customers and liaise with sales order processing staff to ensure that all orders are promptly received and handled.
  • Provide regular information to assist management with decision-making, including competitor profiles, market analysis, and any other information to enhance the decision-making capability of the Company.
  • Make recommendations to management on business development activity and how the Company can improve the marketability of its products.
  • Assist with credit control when required.
  • Any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role.
