Vanrath is delighted to be supporting the recruitment of an Events Executive for a prominent entity in Northern Ireland, known for its influential public policy and business publications and a comprehensive programme of conferences and events across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and passionate Events Executive to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing the development, production, and delivery of events from proposal through to execution. The successful candidate will work across our events and publications business, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional event experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Management:
    • Plan and manage all aspects of events, including on-the-day operations.
    • Coordinate logistics such as travel and accommodation for speakers.
    • Oversee exhibition sales and bookings.

  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with event sponsors and other commercial partners.
    • Liaise with speakers to ensure all arrangements are in place.

  • Marketing:
    • Design and execute marketing campaigns for events and publications, with a focus on digital marketing.

  • Database Management:
    • Maintain, research, and update company databases and contact lists.

  • Editorial Support:
    • Support editorial staff with research, fact-checking, and proofreading content for publications.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a professional and engaging manner.
  • Experience working to tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative.
  • Self-motivated with a positive work ethic.
  • Graduate with at least one year of experience in event organisation (preferred).

Additional Requirements

  • Access to own transport.
  • Willingness to attend events and conferences, which may include overnight stays, early morning starts, and late evenings.

What's On Offer

  • Attractive salary within the range of £26,000 - £30,000, depending on experience.
