VANRATH are recruiting an Estimator to work on various commercial fit out projects, based in Greater Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration:
c£50,000 to £60,000 plus benefits

Client
Our client is a dynamic fit-out contractor based in Greater Belfast, Northern Ireland. They specialise in high quality commercial interior fit-out projects covering retail / shopfitting, bars and restaurants, hotels, commercial offices, gyms and more.

Business is booming and continuously growing, and as a result they are looking for an Estimator to join them on a permanent basis. They are looking for an Estimator that has experience working for a Main Contractor, and ideally on commercial fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers at all levels to ensure projects are efficiently costed and managed, achieving company sales targets
  • Preparing cost budgets and cost estimates for new contracts
  • Carrying out take offs and producing Bills of Quantities to prepare tenders for submission
  • Site visits to undertake surveys, attend meetings with projects teams as necessary
  • Working closely with the Business Development team, Commercial Director and Quantity Surveyors, supporting the projects team as necessary from a commercial perspective
  • Undertake post tender and post contract discussion and cost considerations to understand learnings for future tenders
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by your Line Management.



The Ideal Person:

  • Degree Qualified or other relative qualifications
  • Experience working on commercial fit out projects
  • Track record working for a reputable Main Contractor
  • Ability to read drawings and prepare schedules of work and measured Bills of Quantities
  • A good level of commercial acumen and solid understanding of market rates and profit margins
  • Full driving license
