Estates Contracts Officer (Public Sector)
VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an BAND 6 Estates Contracts Officer for 6 months initially with the possibility of extension. You will predominantly be based in their Derry/Londonderry site.
Responsibilities
The post holder will be part of a team responsible for the Procurement, Monitoring and Management of Service Contracts.
- Budgetary responsibility will relate to managing the delegated resource, within the prescribed limits (SODA)
- Ensure best value for money for the trust in the procurement of servicing maintenance and repair of equipment
- To comply with all written procedures, relevant Codes of Practice and statutory regulations.
- Although accountable to the Estates Contracts Manager, the Post Holder will be required to develop working relationships with Department managers, Contractors and other Senior Estates Staff to ensure the delivery of his/her responsibilities are fully coordinated and a seamless service is delivered to the customer.
- Manage the delivery of all Service Contracts, ensuring all technical standards are met. Primary aim of the post is to ensure / improves the Estates department compliance with the Company's Procurement Guidance.
Requirements
- HNC / HND or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline
Plus
- A minimum of four years' experience at Band 4 level or equivalent.
OR
- Degree or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline
Plus
- A minimum of three years post qualification experience at Band 4 level or equivalent.
- Conditions of contract relating to Service and Maintenance of Equipment
- Experience of Service, Maintenance and Repair of Plant & Equipment
- Specification and Tendering of Service and Maintenance Contracts
- Monitoring and management of Service and Maintenance Contracts and reporting of Estates Information.
- Management Principles for organisation and control of Staff.
Remuneration
This is a BAND 6 role, £32,306 per annum, plus discount benefits.
