VanRath are exclusively recruiting for a Systems Accountant on a long-term, temporary basis for a large organisation based in the Greater Belfast area. This project is to oversee the financial aspects of the implementation of Sage 200 across their business and is a high-profile role for any systems accountant keen to add a challenging new achievement to their CV. This role will commence within a short turnaround time and will provide an exciting challenge for the successful candidate. The role will be on a hybrid-working basis and will offer the possibility of extension well beyond the initial time frames, as is typical with such projects. Remuneration has been loosely set at a level to attract the strongest options in the local market and our client are renowned to pay ahead of market rate.
Responsibilities
Working closely with the Finance and Project Management Team, the role will involve:
Revisit assessments made and liaise with suppliers to understand current best practice for Sage
Work with stakeholders to create future vision for Sage in each business unit, ensuring commonality in chart of accounts and processes and ways of working where possible
Translate the vision to a financial business case and present same to Group board for approval and build detailed plan for delivery in conjunction with stakeholders
Put appropriate governance in place to ensure that plan timelines are adhered to and that there are regular project updates/meetings etc involving the key stakeholders
Deliver project to plan timelines and within agreed financial parameters
