Environmental / Waste Manager - Multiple Locations

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a Major Waste Company with the Recruitment of an Environmental Manager to join their growing and dynamic team.

This role can be based in Belfast, Nutts Corner, or Newry.

Hours - Mon-Fri-09:00-17:00 - Hybrid option of 2 days per week.

Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 + Market Leading Benefits + Perks

Main responsibilities:

• Meeting regulatory deadlines for NIEA returns for all Group Companies
• Ensuring the correct EWC codes are used for material arriving and being dispatched at sites
• NIEA liaison
• Provision of training alongside departmental managers t ensure staff are fully aware of Compliance implications
• Active involvement with management and contribution to management meetings
• Provision of reports as required for management & board

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 5 years' experience dealing with waste management permits/licencing
• COTC holder/WAMITAB
• History of providing reports to Senior Management on a regular and as required basis
• Contribution to Senior Management meetings
• Regulatory Reporting & liaison with Regulation Bodies
• Hands on experience of maintaining and contributing to Business accreditations such as ISO's etc.
• Experience of working cross departmental to ensure deadlines and business needs are met

Desirable Criteria:

• Leading a team
• Experience of both waste and metal recycling industry
• Experience in dealing with a multi-site business
• Customer reporting
