Biodiversity Manager
Are you a scientific professional with a passion for ecosystem conservation and biodiversity?
I am looking for an experienced environmental scientist, specialising in biodiversity, to manage the biodiversity improvement projects for our public sector client.
Responsibilities
- Implementing biodiversity management arrangements and strategies
* Developing metrics to set targets and to encourage best practice that will exploit natural capital.
* devising the best tools and systems to monitor performance and to implement strategies
* ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, systems and corporate requirements
* assessing, analysing and collating biodiversity/environmental performance data and reporting information to internal staff, regulatory and other bodies
* acting as a champion and point of contact for biodiversity issues
Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in Biodiversity Management
* Scientific Degree
* Broad knowledge of NI's Flora and Fauna.
- Experience of using MS Packages including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Desirable:
Member Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management
