The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A primary degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
Practical experience and understanding of environmental management systems (ISO14001)
Solid grasp of sustainability and its relevance to commercial and industrial operations
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar environmental or sustainability role
Strong IT skills, with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Full, clean UK driving licence
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance the organisation's Environmental Management System (EMS) aligned with ISO14001
Coordinate and provide support to Environmental Working Groups (EWGs)
Identify and implement solutions to ensure compliance and improve environmental performance (e.g. waste, water, air, energy)
Manage systems to monitor and report environmental performance indicators
Lead internal audits and inspections; support external and third-party audits
Assess and help manage environmental compliance of contractors
Engage internal and external stakeholders in ESG and sustainability initiatives (e.g. waste, biodiversity, carbon reduction)
Create and deliver training, awareness campaigns, and communications on environmental and sustainability topics
Provide assistance to the environmental and waste teams as directed, and support cross-functional teams as needed
Remuneration:
£28,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30
Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
