Engineering Stores Controller
Location: Ballymena, County Antrim
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
A large, well-established food manufacturing business based in Ballymena is seeking an organised and proactive Engineering Stores Controller to join its maintenance team. This is a key support role within a busy manufacturing environment, helping to ensure high equipment availability and minimal downtime.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will take ownership of the engineering stores function, stock control, and supplier coordination.
The Role:
- Manage and maintain the Engineering Stores to support maintenance operations
- Use a CMMS / stock control system to manage stock levels, usage, and replenishment
- Ensure critical spares availability to reduce downtime and improve asset reliability
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the engineering stores area
- Liaise daily with suppliers regarding parts, services, and deliveries
- Support purchasing activities when required
- Maintain accurate records and ensure stock integrity at all times
What We're Looking For:
- GCSE Maths & English (Grade A-C) or equivalent
- Strong IT skills and experience working with stock or maintenance systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
- Flexible approach to support operational requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (advantageous)
