About the Role
We are recruiting Electricians on behalf of a public sector client to support planned and reactive electrical maintenance works across a portfolio of occupied buildings and operational sites. This role is critical to ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational in essential public facilities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, testing, and minor installation works
Work on lighting systems, power distribution, containment, emergency lighting, and small power
Diagnose electrical faults and complete remedial works efficiently and safely
Support both reactive maintenance and planned preventative works
Carry out testing, inspection, and certification where required
Ensure all works comply with current electrical regulations and safety standards
Liaise professionally with supervisors, colleagues, and building users
Accurately complete job sheets, test records, and report follow-on works
Candidate Requirements
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or time-served electrician
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
Experience in maintenance or public sector environments desirable
Strong knowledge of health & safety and safe systems of work
Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider maintenance team
Full UK driving licence preferred
