Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Science discipline
  • Expertise in designing 3 phase electrical control systems
  • Experience with automation
  • Travel from time to time will be required


Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge in design of 3 phase electrical systems.
  • Experience working in heavy equipment industry.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine malfunction.
  • Experience working with Variable Frequency Drives and Soft Starters.
  • Experience in electrical control panel design.
  • Experience in design of 24Vdc control systems including EtherNet IP, CANbus, Modbus etc. networks.
  • Development of PLC Software advantageous.
  • Knowledge & understanding of Hydraulic systems desirable.



What you'll do
Engineering Design

* Create accurate electrical schematics, BOM's and technical documentation.
* Create and test PLC & HMI software.
* Write Functional Specifications for software.
* Ensure all project documentation & technical files are compiled and stored correctly.
* Support Operations teams on improvement projects & focused improvements on Terex products.
* Assist product cost reduction and product reliability improvement efforts.
* Directly contribute to and assist continuous improvement in line with the business demand.
* Occasionally perform equipment commissioning, installation, and testing.

Program Management

* Support NPD projects - ensuring projects needs are interpreted accurately.
* Provide appropriate technical assistance on both existing products and NPD.

Standards, Health & Safety
* Design products that comply with company & industry standards & legislation with regards to machine safety.
* Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are followed in accordance with company policies and in the creation of project risk analysis.
