Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Are you a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background and experience working with PLCs?
We are seeking a Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our client's team. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment through effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment with a focus on electrical systems.
- Fault-find and repair equipment using PLCs and other control systems.
- Conduct diagnostics, identify root causes of equipment failures, and implement effective solutions.
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing enhancements to equipment and processes.
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team to ensure effective communication and handover between shifts.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues promptly.
Experience:
- Third level qualification in Engineering discipline or Engineering apprenticeship
- Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar) and experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems.
- Dual-skilled in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work on a shift pattern, with a majority of the shifts being day shifts.
