Job Description:

As a Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency in our production processes. Your expertise will contribute to the overall success and reliability of our manufacturing operations.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures, implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure machinery operates at optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and equipment performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall plant operations.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Dual skilled with expertise in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and electrical circuits.
  • Proficiency in mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
  • Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3) or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
