Drainage Engineer (WATER)


VANRATH are proud to be recruiting for an experienced Drainage Engineer.


Client
Our client is seeking Assistant Engineers to Principal Engineers who specialise in Water, Drainage and Environmental Engineering for transportation infrastructure projects to expand the growth of their experts.


Remuneration:
£28,000 - £50,000 + Benefits DOE


The Ideal Person

  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer and/or degree qualified (role dependent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Technical experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Highway Drainage
    • Rail Drainage
    • Airport Drainage
    • Asset Management
    • Foul water
    • Sustainable foul and surface water drainage design
    • Drainage modelling software (Causeway Flow or Microdrainage)



Responsibilities

  • Working on a wide variety of major civil engineering projects and frameworks.
  • Helping to deliver a broad range of drainage services for the most significant transport and infrastructure projects in the UK.
  • Projects range from HS2, Network Rail, National Highways and Local Authorities schemes including A5 Western Transport Corridor, N/M20 Cork to Limerick upgrade, A26 Cookstown Bypass.
  • Responsibilities include:
    • Quality delivery of innovative and sustainable designs to programme and budget.
    • The preparation and management of design packages to Local Authority standards, working within a BIM "team" environment, from strategy, concept and feasibility to detail design and construction.
    • Interface with Clients and stakeholders, coordination with other disciplines and the wider water team.
    • Coaching and mentoring the development of staff.
    • There is an opportunity for site attendance and travel to other UK offices in support of client and team meetings.
