Job Description

We are partnering with a prestigious global law firm, operating across more than 30 countries, to recruit a Document Services Supervisor. Work Pattern:
Hybrid working model: 3 days in the modern Belfast city centre office and 2 days remote
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (including 1-hour lunch break)

Role Overview:

As the Team Leader, you will oversee the daily operations of the Document Verification team, ensuring efficient workflows and maintaining high-quality standards. You will play a key role in motivating and managing the team to achieve both individual and collective goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct day-to-day team activities to ensure smooth and accurate document verification processes

  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and one-to-one sessions to set objectives and review progress

  • Manage employee training programs, tracking development and coaching to enhance skills

  • Monitor team performance closely, addressing issues swiftly and implementing corrective measures when necessary

  • Lead initiatives to improve operational processes and increase efficiency

  • Collaborate with internal departments, clients, and external partners to guarantee timely, high-quality service delivery

  • Troubleshoot operational challenges and escalate critical problems as appropriate

  • Provide support to other operational roles to maintain business continuity

  • Work closely with Document Experts to resolve complex technical queries and guide your team accordingly

  • Ensure smooth handovers between shifts through effective communication

  • Manage multi-departmental projects within the Document Services function

  • Encourage ongoing learning through training sessions and shadowing opportunities


Candidate Profile:

  • Proven leadership experience within a professional services or related environment

  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent client service

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels

  • Comfortable operating under pressure with tight deadlines, ideally with exposure to 24/7 operations

  • Highly organised, able to prioritise competing demands effectively

  • Enthusiastic about continuous improvement and adopting innovative approaches
