Document Controller - (35k-40k) - Carrickfergus - Immediate

Job Description

VANRATH are absolutely delighted to be assisting our major UK Investment Company with the Recruitment of a Document Controller to join their fun and friendly team at their Carrickfergus site.

Monday - Friday - 09:00 - 17:00

£35,000 - £40,000 Depending on Experience

  • This vacancy is an urgent requirement and an immediate start is sought after.
  • Experience in Document Control and on site experience is sought after.

Duties

  • Registering incoming correspondence in an excel tracking spreadsheet.
  • Ensuring distribution or forwarding of correspondence to the parties responsible for reply, according to a distribution matrix.
  • Chasing responsible persons for their replies within prescribed timescales.
  • Maintaining registers of outgoing correspondence, and ensuring proper correspondence numbering.
  • Filing transmittal packages of received documentation in company sharepoint folders.
  • Maintaining registers in excel of documents.
  • Notifying responsible persons of the arrival of new documents and chasing up their review comments, according to a distribution matrix.
  • The environment is a fast-moving construction project and it is important that all records are up to date at the close of the day.
  • Supporting other project team members with ad-hoc administrative and clerical activities as required.

Skills Required

  • IT literate and familiar with Word, Excel, Outlook,
  • Diligent and accurate in the processing of data.
  • Taking the initiative to make corrections to data or identify gaps where numbering sequence indicates items might be missing.
  • The role is based in the site construction office at Carrickfergus. This is an industrial environment with many of the workers directly involved in construction and management of project works. There would be scope to work from home for some days, but the expectation is that the successful candidate will be based at the site, particularly in the beginning during familiarization with the processes and systems.

Previous experience of working in a technical environment or construction project would be advantageous.
