About you
- Applicants must have successfully completed the professional examinations and be a full, current member of one of the bodies listed below
- Chartered Accountants Ireland
- The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland.
- Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
- The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
- The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy
- The Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland of Chartered Accountants in Scotland
- Applicants must, have at least three year's post qualification experience gained in the last 8 years, in a finance related environment, in all the following areas:
- financial reporting, planning, budget management, and audit processes
- management accounting and the production of financial accounts including managing and presenting complex financial and management information at senior management, board or ministerial level to inform decisions; and
- developing and maintaining effective organisational governance, policy frameworks and risk management in line with legislative compliance and recognised good practice, including procurement and contract management.
- Applicants must have at least three years gained in the last 8 years relevant experience in the following area:
- Managing or delivering a HR or People function with the support of a HR team
- Applicants must have at least three years gained in the last 8 years relevant experience in the following areas:
- developing and delivering effective organisational strategy in relation to one or more non-finance related corporate functions such as Information Communications Technology, Business Intelligence, or other
- experience of leading and managing a team in the delivery of a range of effective corporate functions (not limited to finance).
What you'll do
- Member of the Senior Leadership Team and contributor to strategic and operational delivery
- Attendance at Board meetings and ensuring effective secretariat support to the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee and Finance and Personnel Committee. These include the preparation and presentation of papers regarding the Directorate.
- Effective leadership and management of the Directorate's staff and resources in line with the Agency's values and the principles of Investors in People.
- Effective development and management of the Directorate's (business support; communications, finance; human resources; information and communications technology; premises, facilities and service management; and statutory compliance) to meet customer/stakeholder needs.
- Effective leadership and management of Finance People and Governance staff and resources in line with the Agency's values and the principles of Investors in People.
- Effective development and management of the Directorates Services (business support; communications, finance; human resources; information and communications technology; and statutory compliance) to meet customer/stakeholder needs.
