Director of Data Engineering ( Updated Spec )

Data Engineering Director *Hybrid WFH *. Are you a data technologist ? You could be progressing your career in a senior hands-on managerial role working with Blue Chip clients as they move from on Prem to Cloud Solutions , or change their Systems to be more Data Science centric. A very varied role with an interesting list of clients in place.

As the Data Engineering Director you will lead two teams, providing coaching, mentoring and technical leadership to a team which you will help to grow. You'll be working with a modern tech stack you'll collaborate with the wider engineering team to steer the future technical direction.

There's an informal first stage interview available to senior candidates. You'll join colleagues in a fun, sociable environment in modern, open plan offices with casual dress code and a range of on-site facilities including games tables and a beer fridge. You'll also have two hours a week dedicated to your own personal development projects and a customised training and conferences budget.

Requirements:

*You have team leadership, coaching and mentoring experience
*You're collaborative with great communication skills, pragmatic, able to inspire and get the best out of others
* Recent experience of building Data Science teams

* Demonstrable experience of working within Data Science, using the most modern tools and methodologies

* Experience of working closely with high net worth clients as they establish best practice for their own Data Science teams
