Digital Content Producer

Overview
VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a respected public sector organisation in the recruitment of a Digital Content Producer to join their Communications function on an interim basis. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a high-profile team responsible for digital storytelling, multimedia production, and engagement across internal and public-facing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, film and edit compelling video and audio content for websites, intranet and social media.
- Work collaboratively on video/audio productions, and appear on-air as required.
- Design and publish on-brand graphics using tools such as Canva.
- Administer and publish content through CMS platforms (e.g. EPiServer, Umbraco, WordPress), ensuring accessibility standards are met.
- Manage micro-sites built in WordPress, including layout design and maintenance.
- Support internal teams by responding to content requests, delivering training, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
- Advise and ensure all content complies with regulatory standards including GDPR and accessibility.
- Contribute ideas to content development sessions and support internal/external campaign creation.
- Monitor and evaluate digital content using analytics and insights.
- Liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including MLAs, departmental officials, Assembly staff, and the public.
- Ensure accurate records management in line with statutory obligations, including support for Freedom of Information requests.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification and experience routes:
Option 1
- A minimum of a 2:2 degree in any subject (or an equivalent/higher qualification)
AND - At least two years' experience in each of the following areas:
- Using camera equipment and video editing software
- Managing digital content within a CMS (e.g. EPiServer, Umbraco, WordPress), with consideration for accessibility
- Creating content using online graphic tools such as Canva
- Posting and scheduling content via social media management platforms
- Using digital analytics/insights to measure performance
Option 2
- A minimum of four GCSEs (A*-C), including English Language (or equivalent/higher qualification)
AND - At least four years' experience in each of the five areas listed above
Desirable Criteria
- A third-level qualification specifically in Digital and/or Social Media Marketing
OR - Demonstrable understanding of managing digital content across multiple digital channels
