Digital Communications Officer

Job Description

VANRATH is recruiting a temporary Digital Communications and Engagement Officer for a Public Sector organisation based in Belfast. This is an immediate start for an initial duration of 5 months. An excellent opportunity for the right candidate looking for an interim contract and available to start asap.

Responsibilities

The Communication and Engagement Officer will be responsible through the Communication and Engagement Manager for providing administrative and project support across all functions of the Communication and Engagement Team. The post holder will work within the Communication and Engagement Team to ensure effective two-way communications both internally with staff and externally with key customers, stakeholders and the general public.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To support the Communications and Engagement Manger to implement the Communications and Engagement strategy, as well as providing support to the wider organisation in the development and implementation of their communication plans.
  • To develop and implement administrative systems and procedures to ensure the efficient functioning of the Communication and Engagement team
  • Expand capacity to communicate with all stakeholders by developing and implementing digital communication tools
  • Organise, contribute to and attend public events
  • Communicate with media outlets where necessary
  • Develop marketing literature
  • Research and prepare business cases
  • Develop social media content
  • Assist with other duties as required.

Candidate

Relevant third level qualification, (i.e degree or professional qualification) plus 1 years relevant work experience.

Or

Relevant HND/HNC plus 1 years experience in a marketing related role

3 Years relevant work experience in a marketing related role.

Remuneration

  • An excellent opportunity to join a well-established Public Sector Organisation in Northern Ireland.
  • Salary starting from £28000-35000 with full pay from Day 1.
  • Hybrid working.
