DevOps/QA Manager

VANRATH are pleased to working again with a large scale tech company who are looking for a DevOps/QA Manager to join the team. The company is working with high spec next generation technology with a great team and flexible working environment.

The Role


You would be managing a team of around 10 people across multiple locations and background from DevOps, QA and development. This person would still be hands on and ideally have experience in building CI/CD pipelines and can bring their expertise around this space. They would also be managing the team who perform both the load testing and system testing and managing the stress levels. The person would come from a mindset of self diagnostics if the test don't work.

  • Manage a team of high performing devops, system and performance test engineers to provide release validation on all software deliverables
  • Manage the E2E release engineering process
  • Drive our Devops Strategy. Identify improvements in our approach and plan the incremental changes to make them happen.
  • You'll work with Gitlab & Jenkins in Openstack, Kubernetes and Azure environments



The Person

  • At least 4 years in managing a team of devops or performance engineers working in agile Linux/Unix based environments
  • While you won't be hands-on testing, we'd like you to have had hand-on experience in a Software Testing or Software development role on client/server type applications. Even better if you've worked with performance testing
  • A track record of driving change whether process or technical
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written



Remuneration
Salary for the role is the 85k mark with bonus and additional benefits that include hybrid working, health insurance, 6 months sick pay and more.
