VANRATH are recruiting a Design Technician to work for a leading commercial fit-out contractor, based in Dundonald, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration:
c£35,000 to £40,000 + package

Client:
Our client is a leading commercial fit-out contractor that have been operating for over 50 years. They specialise in creating outstanding interior fit-outs for the commercial, hospitality and retail sectors. The company take pride in creating bespoke solutions for their clients and due to the quality of their work win a lot of repeat business.

Business is very busy and they currently have multiple projects ongoing with many more in the pipeline. They have a great opportunity for a Design Technician to join the business on a permanent basis.

The Design Technician will be responsible for producing clear, concise and accurate drawings in line with deadlines and project requirements. Reporting to the Design Manager, the Design Technician will work closely with internal site and production teams, collaborating with schedulers to discuss drawings and assist with any production queries.

The Ideal Person:

  • Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
  • CAD / Design Technician experience
  • Track record working for a reputable Main Contractor
  • Experience working on fit-out projects with detailed joinery
  • Sound experience in technical detailing
  • Have previous experience in scheduling materials and preparing cutting list
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients
  • Excellent IT skills and relevant Software experience
