Our client is a local company that operates in the Mechanical, Electrical, Renewables and HVAC markets. Their clients are spread across the public and private sectors in the UK & Ireland. Due to their continued growth, they are looking for a Design Technician to join the team.

What you'll do

  • Producing in-depth, detailed drawings, designs and documents to meet briefs given by clients
  • Working autonomously using your M&E knowledge to problem solve and make decisions on a daily basis
  • Collaborating with engineers and internal team members to create clash free models relevant to the design stage
  • Responsible for taking projects from concept to completion
  • Report to the project leads on modelling and drawing statuses as required
  • Developing knowledge of BIM Level 2 Accreditation and what its process involves.


About you

  • The ideal candidate will be Degree or HND qualified in a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering discipline
  • Minimum three years' experience using Autodesk software such as Revit, 2D AutoCAD and Navisworks
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong communication and team skills
