Our client, a leading global organisation in the financial technology sector, is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager/Lead to oversee the end-to-end execution of strategic technology initiatives. This role is central to driving high-quality, timely delivery across trading and financial systems, ensuring that business outcomes are achieved efficiently and consistently.

You will take ownership of delivery pipelines, work closely with cross-functional teams across multiple regions, and ensure smooth coordination between internal stakeholders, vendors, and technical leads. This position will suit an individual who thrives in fast-paced, regulated environments and has a strong grasp of agile delivery frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of complex technology projects across the organisation.

  • Maintain clear and achievable delivery roadmaps, providing consistent progress updates to senior stakeholders.

  • Oversee multiple distributed teams (internal and vendor) to ensure alignment, performance, and collaboration.

  • Identify dependencies, manage risks, and remove blockers to maintain momentum and delivery efficiency.

  • Drive adoption of best practices in agile and lean methodologies, fostering continuous improvement across teams.

  • Manage project budgets and delivery timelines, ensuring all changes to scope or cost are tracked and approved.

  • Facilitate workshops and project meetings to clarify requirements and align technical and business priorities.

  • Support User Acceptance Testing and ensure all deliverables meet agreed functional and quality standards.

  • Partner with business, product, and technology teams to deliver technology change that supports strategic goals.

  • Where appropriate, act as Scrum Master or mentor to delivery teams, promoting collaboration and accountability.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven background (5+ years) as a Delivery Manager, Agile Delivery Lead, or Scrum Master within financial services or a technology-led environment.

  • Strong understanding of agile delivery, sprint planning, and iterative development principles.

  • Demonstrated experience managing global or multi-time-zone delivery teams.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • Experience overseeing budgets in excess of £1m and delivering against complex project portfolios.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining strong attention to detail and prioritisation.

  • Skilled at using delivery metrics and performance data to drive team effectiveness.

  • Working knowledge of trading systems, market data, or derivatives platforms would be advantageous.

  • Confident in facilitating cross-department collaboration and leading meetings with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
