Join our clients team as a Data & Analytics Team Lead with a unique opportunity to spearhead their expansion in Northern Ireland. This role, predominantly remote, offers a chance to collaborate with a key client new to the Northern Ireland market.

We are in search of a skilled Data and Analytics Team Lead with proficiency in the Microsoft Data and Analytics stack. Your primary objective will be to lead and accelerate the growth of their Microsoft Data and BI business within the broader Digital Practice.

If you possess a robust consulting background, an enthusiasm for data, and an in-depth comprehension of Microsoft Power BI and/or data engineering within the MSFT stack (preferably both), we encourage you to apply and help shape the trajectory of this data team.

Key Duties:

  • Strategically develop future work pipelines in coordination with the Digital Practice Lead.

  • Collaborate with clients to discern their data needs, devising ways the company can assist in constructing an insightful data platform for actionable insights.

  • Actively support sales and presales efforts to meet set targets.

  • Manage staffing resource utilisation and participate in hiring new talents.

  • Facilitate project outcomes through architectural QA and delivery management.

  • Provide technical mentorship to engineers within the practice.

  • Contribute to shaping the career paths of practice members in tandem with the company management team.

  • Offer strategic guidance on service and technology focal points to fuel growth.

  • Foster cross-team collaboration between the data team and the wider Digital team.

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with Microsoft to enhance the company's profile in Data consulting.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Platform, encompassing Azure Data Services, the Microsoft Data and/or analytics cloud stack, and/or Microsoft BI technologies.

  • Experience in pre-sales activities, including leading proposal creation, tender responses, SOWs (Statement of Work), and delivering sales presentations.

  • Familiarity with standard data engineering ETL processes and best practices in security roles and access.

  • Ability to conduct data analytics and data engineering workshops with senior stakeholders as a subject matter expert.

  • Understanding of both traditional and modern data platform architecture designs.

  • Previous experience with on-premises SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI.

  • Knowledge of the pivotal role security plays in defining and designing data solutions.

  • Strong client liaison skills at a high level.

  • Proficient in documentation, spanning business-focused, technology-focused, and project-focused domains.

  • Minimum 7 years in a senior data role.

Preferred Skills:

  • Relevant Microsoft data and/or BI accreditations.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices.

  • Experience with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 suite of applications.

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications.
