Data Engineering Manager

Data Engineering Manager (Data AWS ETL Python) *Hybrid WFH*. Are you a data technologist ? You could be progressing your career in a senior hands-on managerial role working on a mobile and web app that is used by millions of people every day. This client are setting out to be the defined leaders in New Media.
My client have thus far hired a well respected Site Lead, 2 excellent Lead Technical engineers, and this is the first of 5 additional hires. A US client with offices throughout the world. My client are challenging the norms that exist within the New Media sector. An evolutionary solution that will be tailored to end users preferences, allowing for open and transparent media sources to contribute to a trusted a neutral platform. Not a tech for good company, but a tech for change company.

As the Data Engineering Manager for the data platform you will provide coaching, mentoring and technical leadership. You'll collaborate with the wider engineering team to steer the future technical direction.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process and you can work from home most of the time, visiting the office only once a month (or as often as you like); you'll join colleagues in a fun, sociable environment in modern, open plan offices with casual dress code and a range of onsite facilities including games tables and a beer fridge. You'll also have two hours a week dedicated to your own personal development projects and a customised training and conferences budget.
