Data Analyst (Sales & Reporting) - Hybrid / 30k

VANRATH has partnered with a market leader in the hospitality and catering sectors across Ireland. The client is seeking to appoint a data analyst (sales & reporting)

Reporting to the Director of Digital Transformation, the Sales & Reporting Analyst is a key commercial role within the business. Working closely with Sales, Digital and Finance teams, the successful candidate will act as support to both the Director of Digital Transformation and the Finance Business Partner providing key analysis and reporting needs. To succeed in this role people skills are critical, you must be adaptable and be capable of delivering information with clarity and appropriate to specific audiences. You must be a team player with excellent analysis skills and communication with a flair for systems and reporting, ensuring the optimum use of reporting tools available.

Hybrid working available - 1 day per week. (Training will be fully in office until you are on your feet)

Responsibilities:

  • Daily sales KPI reporting and review of key trends.
  • Customer sales and rebate reporting.
  • Sales campaign reporting.
  • Report development and continuous improvement using available reporting tools.
  • ERP data reviews to ensure integrity across systems.
  • Daily sales KPI reporting and review of key trends and metrics.
  • Month end customer sales and rebate reporting, to include the streamlining and standardisation of reports.
  • Using Salesforce as a tool to optimise sales reporting capabilities.
  • Assist sales team with reporting and analysis requests.
  • Working with wider sales team to improve quality of reporting and move towards self-service reporting model.
  • Business partnering with marketing on campaigns and sales.
  • Support the Finance Business Partner with analysis, reporting and other ad hoc tasks.
  • Alongside Finance Business Partner, develop new and insightful sales and margin reporting.
  • Support with Sales budget and forecasts, including scenario-based planning and what-if analysis.

The Ideal Person:

  • Experience of working with analysis tools to deliver insight and/or Sales teams to identify opportunities and improvements.
  • Experience of working with an ERP system and understanding the different components of a delivery business.
  • Good attention to detail and an inquisitive nature.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Analytical and numerate with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Salesforce experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • ODBC and experience of Perito ERP (or similar) System also is desirable.
