Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation with the recruitment of a Customer Service Advisor to join their team based in Belfast.

This is a Full-Time Monday - Friday position. 37 hours per week. Monday - Friday 9 - 5.


£23,819 per annum, plus benefits.


  • Attend briefings before deployment into each area.
  • Plan routes according to the properties required to visit.
  • Deliver the information booklet to each household / business in each project area.
  • Where no contact can be made, leave a calling card indicating what residents need to do and/or when you plan to call again.
  • Collate and return all completed questionnaires to the project officer.
  • Maintain a high level of customer care and deal with internal and external customers of the service either face-to-face or by telephone and e-mail as required.
  • Undertake any other relevant duties that may be assigned as required by the line manager.

Essential Criteria:

  • A full, current driving license.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to provide information to and handle complaints from the public.
  • A good standard of literacy, including the ability to create and maintain computer records.
  • The ability to prioritise work and keep track of tasks using judgement to decide priorities.
  • Able to demonstrate at least one years' relevant experience of:
  1. Dealing with members of the public as part of daily duties in a face-to-face environment.
  2. Compiling and analysing service information.
  3. Undertaking Marketing and promotional activities and events.
