VANRATH is delighted to be working with one of Northern Ireland's leading names in commercial vehicle sales and aftersales, as they look to expand their customer service team with the appointment of a Customer Service Advisor. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for customers, providing a professional and helpful first impression

  • Schedule service appointments and ensure all bookings are accurately maintained and communicated

  • Oversee the day-to-day upkeep of client and fleet records, including vehicle history and compliance data

  • Coordinate annual test bookings and compliance documentation (e.g., PSV inspections)

  • Issue and manage workshop job sheets, tracking progress through to job completion

  • Support the service team with administration and ensure timely completion of invoicing tasks

  • Conduct follow-up calls to customers regarding service updates, feedback, or contract renewals

  • Prepare maintenance service proposals and actively promote long-term support packages

  • Work alongside workshop supervisors to coordinate jobs and ensure smooth scheduling

  • Notify customers of additional repair needs and obtain approval for supplementary work

  • Finalise service reports and manage the return or delivery of vehicles, ensuring full transparency about the work completed


Candidate Criteria

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing service or support role, ideally in the automotive or transport industry

  • Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Comfortable using digital systems for booking, customer records, and reporting

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client expectations professionally

  • Full UK driving licence is essential
