Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a well-known automotive dealer in Mallusk to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Dispatch overdue letters, reminders, copy invoices, and statements promptly
- Contact debtors for payment via phone, email, and written requests
- Handle outstanding accounts up to and including legal proceedings if necessary
- Report monthly on aged debt and debtor days to the CEO
- Process Direct Debit payments and follow up on returned DDs via the banking portal
- Lead monthly debt meetings and collaborate with Senior Managers to manage and reduce aged debt
- Resolve invoice queries and discrepancies
- Issue monthly contract maintenance to customers
- Allocate cash to customers as needed
- Conduct credit checks and other ad-hoc finance tasks
- Assist with accounts administration to support the Finance Department's efficient operation

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Credit Control role
- Ability and confidence to lead credit control processes
- Proficiency in IT, particularly in Excel and accounting software
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise confidently with various departments
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic, self-initiative, and effective calendar management
- Ability to build strong internal and external working relationships
