Job Description

Vanrath are delighted to be partnering with a well established firm seeking to take on board a newly qualified accountant who is seeking to make their first move into corporate finance.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate must posses a genuine interest in Deal Advisory and able to discuss transactions they have researched as well as being audit trained from a top ten/big 4 firm.

  • Well established firm with extensive network of clients
  • Industry professionals in corporate finance with a wealth of experience
  • Large firm with a range of senior directors, qualified accountants and trainees offering great progression opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Assisting clients with the acquisition and disposal of businesses, including management buyouts
  • Assist with new finance raisings on behalf of clients across a wide range of sectors; incorporating both debt and equity raisings.
  • Acquisition and vendor due diligence
  • Assisting with the review of financial arrangements and cash flow management on behalf of financial institutions and a wide range of clients.
  • Drafting of business plans/ report writing
  • Developing and reviewing detailed financial MS Excel models for use in transactions
  • Managerial responsibilities: supervise and assist junior members in building complex financial models

Essential Criteria

  • An ACA/ ACCA or other accounting qualification
  • Strong commercial and market awareness
  • Ideally from an Audit or Corporate Finance background
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a corporate environment
