Construction Solicitor - Dublin

Join a Leading International Law Firm as a Construction Solicitor in Dublin - Hybrid Working Available
About the Firm

I am collaborating with a prominent international law practice with a strong and expanding footprint in Ireland. With their ambitious growth plans, they are seeking a talented Construction Solicitor to join their highly regarded Dublin team. Renowned for advising a diverse client base-including developers, contractors, consultants, funders, and insurers-on complex, high-value construction and development projects across various sectors, this firm offers a dynamic environment for ambitious legal professionals.

The Role

This role is ideally suited to a motivated and commercially astute solicitor who thrives on ownership and collaboration. Primarily focused on non-contentious construction work, with opportunities to support contentious matters as they arise, you'll gain exposure to sophisticated drafting and strategic project advice. The firm welcomes candidates across a broad PQE spectrum who demonstrate relevant construction expertise and hold the capacity to manage responsibilities appropriate to their experience level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate Development Agreements.
  • Prepare and advise on construction contracts, including standard forms (RIAI, FIDIC, NEC, JCT) and bespoke agreements.
  • Draft and negotiate Design Team Appointments.
  • Prepare collateral warranties, sub-contracts, and other key project documentation.
  • Advise on procurement strategies, risk allocation, and contractual structuring.
  • Liaise directly with developers, contractors, consultants, funders, and insurers.
  • Support the contentious team with adjudications, disputes, and related proceedings as needed.
  • Manage client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring timely, professional deliverables.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Solicitors with relevant construction experience, ideally gained within a reputable commercial firm.
  • Demonstrated experience in non-contentious construction matters; contentious exposure is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong drafting capabilities, including detailed advice and complex contractual documentation.
  • A commercial, problem-solving approach with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage files and progress matters independently, suitable supervision depending on experience.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships.

What's on Offer

  • The opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking, expanding firm with a strong market reputation.
  • Exposure to complex, high-value construction projects across diverse sectors.
  • A collaborative, supportive team environment fostering professional growth.
  • Clear pathways for progression and development.
  • Competitive salary package aligned with your experience.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements based in Dublin.
