VANRATH are supporting a European firm with a highly-successful Northern Ireland operation who are seeking a Management Accountant to join their team.

What's required?

  • Recognised accounting qualification (eg ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Knowledge of ERP systems Dynamics 365 F&O and payroll systems would be an advantage
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess strong attention to detail
  • Strong communicator


What will you be doing?
The opportunity is to join an established finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Supporting month end close processes which will include journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in the production of monthly/annual KPIs and commentary on major business variances/developments
  • Analysing manufacturing costs and comparing costs
  • Assist in the annual year end audit and liaise directly with the external auditor
  • Assist in the annual budget process
  • Assist with the implementation of the new ERP system
  • Payroll processing - monthly salaries, annual P11ds, submission of all statutory returns to HMRC, pension payments and submissions
  • VAT - review quarterly UK and VAT return/bi monthly ROI VAT return before final submission
  • VIES/Intrastat/Plastic Tax - ensure all statutory returns submitted on time
  • Providing backup & support to finance team members
  • Ad hoc duties to include annual return submission, Businesses insurance renewals, financial analysis/reports for parent company
